Dear Prospective Students and Families,
Welcome to the Admissions Process for Saint James Catholic School! We hope that you will find this process easy to follow. We are striving to make the process electronic and user-friendly for prospective parents.
Hopefully, you have had the opportunity to visit our beautiful campus! Our buildings came to life in 1956 when our school first opened its doors to the children of Savannah. Our classrooms are large and bright. Our outdoor space provides shade and sun. We have two beautiful playgrounds – one for the Early Learning Center and one for PK – grade 3. In addition, we have sufficient picnic tables for grades to eat lunch outdoors or have a class outdoors.
Our faith-based education is central to our success. Each day we begin and end with school-wide prayer. Religion classes follow the curriculum provided by the Diocese of Savannah and teach Church history, saints, doctrine, and prayer. Other Catholic traditions are experienced through the years including Mass opportunities, the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and Eucharistic Adoration.
Our dedicated faculty and staff cultivate a family atmosphere where students thrive intellectually, physically, and spiritually. Technology is used as a tool to learn, and emphasis is placed on the responsible use of technology. Our specials classes are taught by experts in each field, and they engage students to learn skills that will last a lifetime.
Our graduates’ success attests to the hard work of our faculty and staff. Graduates consistently succeed in high school and beyond.
Strong family involvement in the Saint James School community enriches our mission. The Home & School Association sponsors many activities to support family life.
Thank you for considering Saint James School as the education experience for your child! I hope our website provides a glimpse of the joy and learning that is daily present at SJS! I know that as you get to know us, you will want to join our vibrant, loving, and exciting community of faith and learning.
God love and bless you and your family!
